HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is the language that is used to write Web-Pages. It is very simple to learn and start writing HTML scripts. However, you will need some background on HTML to begin. There are a number of documents you can use as a start. I myself used the collection from Netscape Corporation on Creating Web Pages.
It is also possible to use HTML editors that allow you to pretty much just create the page as a simple document. The editor will in turn convert the document into HTML code. I have never used any of these myself (that's probably why I take so long to put together a page!).
After you've learnt a little about writing HTML, you might want to check out some Counters . These enable you to keep track of how many people have visited your page!
